As the number of people the world over grow in their ability to communicate in English, so advanced Chinese scholars are also eager to reach the next level of equipping in their English training. Students prepare writing assignments, debate and study rigorous in-class curriculum about American culture and Western understanding. These Ph.D students arrive with some familiarity in communicating with English in the classroom.

The host institute will provide a free furnished apartment on campus. Some international airfare reimbursement is offered to accepted candidates. Monthly stipends are more than sufficient for living in China.

All Positions are in the major cities and leading universities, mainly along the China’s eastern coastline. Classes are on the Ph.D level consisting of 30 students involving 12 hours lecture maximum per week. Semester or term positions may be available

Applicants should meet the following criteria to respond:

• Hold a Master’s degree with 2 years teaching experience. Should be a mature Christian in excellent health with good people skills. Team player. Debt-free. Fluent English speaker, strong in spoken English, reading and writing.
  
• Fundamental knowledge of lesson planning and classroom evaluation (graded) will be required, although ERRC does provide some curriculum development resources.
