TEACH CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH IN CHINA

As English has become the international language, nowhere is this more evident than in China where all students are eager to learn this vital skill to enter fully into the global community. In addition to learning communication skills in English, the Chinese host institutions encourage teachers to introduce Western cultures in the classroom.

Oral Communication classes involve pronunciation drills, basic survival phrases and vocabulary training. Cultural Classes mostly comprise topical seminars around common Western holiday traditions, social practices, American pop culture, etc. There is great room for creativity and interactive learning in this teaching opportunity.

The host institute will provide a free furnished apartment on campus. Reimbursement for international airfare is available for candidates committing to a full year term with the host institute. Monthly stipends are more than sufficient for living in China.

All Positions are in the major cities and leading universities, mainly along the China’s eastern coastline. Most classes are 35 students and teaching assignments involving maximum 16 hours teaching per week. Both undergraduate and graduate level teaching opportunities are available. Semester or term positions may be available,

ORAL ENGLISH Requirements

Applicants should meet the following criteria to respond:

  • Hold Bachelors degree +2 years working experience + TESL certificate OR Master degree in houmanity field + TESL Certificate . Should be a mature Christian in excellent health with good people skills. Debt-free. Native English speaker. Team player.
  • Fundamental knowledge of lesson planning will be required, although ERRC does provide some curriculum development resources as well as TESL Curriculum Guide to aid in lesson planning.
  • Minimum commitment Length:  one year for teaching undergraduate students ore one semester of the graduate students
